WHAT IS LIFELINE & LINK UP?

Lifeline is a program that offers discounts to qualified telephone customers on their basic monthly residential telephone service.

Link Up is a program that provides discounts on the installation of telephone service.

Lifeline discounts apply to basic residential telephone service.  You can learn more about rates for basic service by calling the telephone company or companies who provide local service in your area.

How Do I Apply?

• Medicaid

• Federal Public Housing Assistance

• Food Stamps

• Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program

• Bureau of Indian Affairs general Assistance

• Tribally administered Temporary Assistance for needy families

• Head Start Program

• National School Lunch Program

• Program’s free lunch program

• State of Alaska Public Assistance Program

• Any other means test social service program administered by the State or  Federal Government.

INCOME ELIGIBILITY?

135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for the State of Alaska.
